Hawaiian vacations are one of the favorite trips people take because of the friendly people and to some people it is the most beautiful place on earth. One of the most common Hawaiian vacations is staying on the big Island of Oahu. There are many places to see and there is so much to do. Many of the sites you must see on the island of Oahu include the Kona-Kohala Coast, Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historic Park, and Waimea.

The Kona-Kohala Coast is over 40 miles of coastline. You have to hit several of the beaches and swim, surf, go sailing, scuba diving, and more. The coastline includes the last temple built during King Kamehameha I’s reign where you can walk the King’s trail and see some of the remnants. There are large lava fields from the volcanoes and more.

Puuhonua O Honaunua National Park is on the South Kohala coast includes another ancient temple. This 180-acre stretch is surrounded by a stonewall. There is much to see here.

Waimea includes the Parker Ranch where Mexicans were imported to Hawaii to teach them how to rope cattle, ride, and breed. This is one of the largest single owned ranch in the United States spanning over 220,000 acres of land.

Hawaiian vacations on the main island must also include a trip to the Polynesian Gardens, which will give you the true Hawaiian experience. In addition, you must schedule in your itinerary for you to attend a luau for one evening. They really will roast a pig and you will party on the beach Hawaiian style and have so much fun.

Hawaiian vacations must also spend plenty of time on the beach and in the beautiful waters that Hawaii has to offer. Scuba diving is fabulous here and you will be amazed at the variety of marine life that you will see, snorkeling too. Try surfing on some of the Kahuna waves or wave boarding. Get in the water and have some fun!
